In the midst of competition season, the Roarin’ Blue Band performed at the UIL Region Marching Contest on Tuesday night. Achieving the top score of all 1’s, the band secured a spot at the Area Marching Contest.

The band has worked on its contest show, Clair de Loon, since July. Once school ended on Tuesday, the band began prepping for its evening performance. From Region, the band will compete in the area contest to fight for a spot at the state competition.

In order to qualify for the Area Marching Contest, bands must receive a score of all 1’s at UIL. At the area contest, the band will compete against 22 other schools for four spots in the 6A State Marching Contest, facing off against multiple that have been before.
