Friday, Best Buddies will have their first annual color run. There will be a one kilometer Family Fun Run for students in kindergarten through sixth grade and a five kilometer Color Run for older students and adults.

“Best Buddies is a non-profit organization where you are paired up with a special needs student,” Best Buddies Director Nick Duran said. “It’s a great way to help kids overcome their disability.”

Registration fees range from $25 – $30 but the fee will be raised to $40 for the day of the race. There will be concessions, face painting, bouncy houses and many more activities.

Registration fees includes a tee shirt and color medals will be awarded to participants of the 1k.

“All proceeds will go to the Best Buddies Organization,” Duran said. “It’s a fun way to raise money for us and will be very beneficial for Best Buddies.”

Payments can be made online and forms can be dropped off at the high school to Mrs. Heriesti. There will be many activities at the color run to help raise money for the Best Buddies Organization.

“We’ll have bouncy houses, face painting, Bahama Bucks and much more so make sure you come out to have some fun,” Best Buddies President Emma Lancaster said.
