Football season is in full swing! Following a season full of ups and downs, our Wildcats practiced and prepared to ensure a strong start to the season. Doing just that, they secured their first victory against Humble on August 29th. Confident after their victory, the team worked hard and continued their streak, winning 40-10 against Cy-Creek on September 6th. With two wins on the board, the team is looking forward to continuing a promising season as they prepare for their District games during their BYE week.
Senior Christian Castellanos, tight end for the team, is excited about the recent victories and is now honing his skills during the BYE week
“I feel like the BYE week is great for us to prepare our mindsets and play before district games,” Castellanos said. “I’m excited for the rest of the season, especially the patriotic games because the Students are always so excited.”
Senior defensive end Preston Woods, like other students, is focused and anticipating challenges in the coming weeks.
“This BYE week is for us to improve and I’m anticipating that we are going to keep improving and succeeding as the season goes on,” Woods said. “The team is feeling great about these past wins and I hope we keep this momentum going.”

The team feels great and is motivated to do well in districts after their recent victory.
