Last weekend, the Wildcats gave it their all in a four game tournament. The games were hosted at Barbells Hill from Dec. 1-2. The TMHS varsity girls played Dickinson, Lake Creek, Kingwood Park, and Fort Bend Kempner. At the end of the tournament, the team ended in a 2-2 record.
What is really impressive about the girls’ performance in last weekend’s tournament is that they came back from a 0-2 record. This means that after suffering defeat on Friday, the Wildcats managed to lift their spirits and win their next two games. The girls gave it their all, and it is safe to say there is more to come.
“I think although the team did not perform as expected, we all came together and did what we needed to do in the last two games,” senior Addison Yeary said. “I am very proud of this team and am hopeful for the upcoming games.”
“During the last two games, we were able to pass the ball around with confidence which allowed us to trust in each other and win those games,” junior Dasia Hyams said.
Currently, the Wildcats have a 9-10 record. After this tournament, their future triumph becomes clearer and clearer. There are currently 16 games left for the season, and the team is hopeful to come back and dominate the competition.
